Hello bibliophiles! Welcome to December, where you can officially play Christmas music every day with no shame....is that just me? This week has been less eventful (thank goodness) than the last one. We are excited for David's fifth birthday which is coming up on Tuesday. I have no idea how he is turning five already. On his actual birthday, we will be taking him out to dinner at IHOP (his choice) and then we will be having a party with the family on Saturday.
I'm finally announcing who won the Double Blind giveaway. I am terribly behind with that because, well, there was a giant hurricane. That unfortunately made me forget about a thing or two. Anyway, the wonderful winner is Stephanie from On Page and Screen! Stephanie, check your email for a note from me!

The Lost Daughter For Her Own Good I Know This Much is True
By Lucy Ferriss By Barbara Ehrenrheich By Wally Lamb
What are you reading this week?
All three reads look appealing - eeny meeny miney mo?
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week!
Shelleyrae @ Book'd Out
That sounds like a valid method of selection! I usually know exactly what I want to read next, but I find myself somewhat underwhelmed at the moment.
DeleteThe only one of those 3 I've read is I Know This Much is True. I love Wally Lamb! I liked The Awakening too except this is the book where I learned the important lesson to NEVER read introductions lest the fool who is writing it gives away the entire plot to the book before you even read it! Hope you have a fabulous reading week :)
ReplyDeleteI love Wally Lamb too. I liked She's Come Undone and thought The Hour I First Believed was genius. I think I would pick his book in a heartbeat except it is a giant hardcover and I'm not sure I want to cart it around for the next week!
DeleteFor Her Own Good looks really good. Might give that one a read myself.
ReplyDeleteHave a loveky week :-)
I'm excited to read it. Have an awesome week!
DeleteMy five year old boy loves iHop too! Happy Birthday to yours. Enjoy your week. Here is my post.
ReplyDeleteWho can really argue with pancakes, regardless of their age?!?
DeleteI hope you have a wonderful week too. :)
The Lamb is a good one for sure. I haven't read the Ehrenrheich but I want to! She writes some awesome books!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your little sweetie, enjoy IHOP! :)
I think I have it at least narrowed down to those two! I've read Lamb before, but this would be my first Ehrenrheich.
DeleteThanks for the birthday wishes - I think we will have a good day.
Have a wonderful reading week! :) Looks like you're gonna have a busy one.
ReplyDeleteWhatcha readin' this week @ the Brunette Librarian :)
Thank you - I hope you do too!
DeleteI adore Barbara Ehrenrheich--she's a brave,well-researched, no-holds bar kind of writer--enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteI haven't actually read anything of hers yet, but I'm looking forward to it! Have a wonderful week. :)
