It's Monday and I have a giveaway for you!

Hello guys and gals! How ya doing?

It's been a good week here. We are of course doing lots of adjusting with an infant in the house, but I think we are all doing admirably considering that some of us are sleeping more than others!

I'm excited to have a lot of new books friends come in to the house this past week or so.

The Memory Keeper's Daughter (from a friend)
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks (from library book sale)
We Were The Mulvaneys (from library book sale)
Sight Reading (for review)
The World's Strongest Librarian (for review)

Also, I have to direct your attention here. I have a giveaway going on through Friday. Don't miss it!

    1. Thanks so much, Shellyrae! She was born last Friday night, so we are certainly still in the adjustment phase.

  3. Ah, I missed baby coming whilst I was away! I went through posts though and saw a picture, what a cutie! Congratulations!

You still seem to be busy with books, even with the extra little one on your hands now!

I look forward to a review on The Ask and the Answer having never read anything by Patrick Ness, but heard great things.

    Enjoy your reads this week!

    1. Thank you so much, Jade! She's still sleeping quite a bit during the day so I'm finding time to sneak in some reading. :)
Both of the Patrick Ness books I've read so far have been great. I hope you get the chance to read something of his.

  5. Congrats on the beautiful new addition, she's gorgeous. We are slowly getting to the other side of the sleepless nights as our princess is sleeping most of the night. I do miss those early morning just for Mom cuddles though. Glad you still seem to be keeping up with the reviews and books as its not easy but Mommy needs a little Mommy time to. Enjoy your week.

    1. I'm excited to read them. I really needed a whole bunch of new books, right??? :)

Tiny Beautiful Things is really good. You could probably read it a bit at a time while reading another book...or you could be like me and just race through it in a day or two!

The new bambino is doing well. I know that as soon as we think we are adjusted, she will throw us for another loop!

  10. Being a grandma ( I LOVE being a grandma, and bring it up every chance I get...*g*), and mother of four I can attest to how much fun having a baby is. It's exhausting at times, but it's sooooo much fun. I hope you are able to soak in the joy of it. Remember when you're the most tired - to just sit and look at your baby and enjoy. It helps. :) So does calling a granma or aunt or uncle and saying - "HEY! take the baby for a few hours so I can rest, take a nap, watch a show"...whatever. It's my hope that many parents take advantage of other people helping out during those first few exhausting months (or years! lol) Now, done with the semi lecture/encouragement....

You have some interesting novels listed. I've seen so many interesting books this week on everyone's posts - it's great. In contrast, i finished only one novel. Just one. That's it. But it was a good one. :)

Have a great week, and enjoy that infant! :)

    1. It is a lot of fun, isn't it? I think one of the good things about being a mama for the second time is that you become much better at asking for help when you need it and reclaiming your kiddo when you want some snuggle time for yourself! Thank you for the encouragement and I hope you have a wonderful week too! :)
