I hesitate to title this post like that because I worry that the second I hit publish, things will get crazy again. Oh well. The husband and I got away for a few days to the fair state of Wisconsin where we learned that the people are incredibly friendly. Even going through airport security was a lovely experience. Who knew? Husband spent a lot of time in conferences and I spent a lot of time catching up on my reading and getting some work done. Also, Wisconsin looks like this sometimes:
After filling in for the pianist at church this Sunday, I am ready to breathe a bit and take in a week with no traveling and no frantic practicing. It sounds good right now...I will let you know how it turns out!

What are you reading this week?
I'd like to see your thoughts on The Bookman's Tale
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying it so far. It's one of those wonderful stories you don't want to put down.
DeleteGlad to know that you had a wonderful trip, Lindsey. Wisconsin looks very beautiful from your pictures. Hope you are enjoying the Jasper Fforde book. It was nice to see Nicole Krauss' book on your list. I want to read 'The History of Love' and other books of hers. Will look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteWisconsin was beautiful! It's the first time I've been there.
DeleteI liked the Jasper Fforde, but not as much as some of the other books in the series. Nicole Krauss is a really lovely writer. I think I only have one more of her books to read.
You got some good reading in! Where in Wisconsin were you? I was there a week ago, but in a tiny town in the middle of the state. I agree--the people there are pretty darn friendly, even including airport personnel!
ReplyDeleteWe were near Green Lake, at this really lovely conference center. What were you doing in Wisconsin?
DeleteOne of the TSA agents was telling me jokes through the security line. Things like that don't happen in New Jersey!
While your last week sounds like it was fun, I hope you are correct about this week being less unsettled. I too treasure my routines. Here is my Monday Report. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThe trip was lovely, but traveling there and back in four days is a lot.
DeleteI hope you have a quiet week too!
What a great stash of books, most of those titles are new to me but I looked them up and they are good finds. Glad you enjoyed yourself on the trip but settling back down at home is always special too. Enjoy your reading this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rita! I've had a wonderful bunch of books arrive at the library with my name on them. :)
DeleteThe World of the End sounds really good! I also keep meaning to catch up on the Thursday Next series (I've only read The Eyre Affair). I'll be curious to see if you are still liking it :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a very interesting read. I didn't love the third book, but I hear that the fourth one is fantastic.
DeleteI hope you have fun reading this week, and that it's not chaotic!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHere's to another calm week and lot of reading! Hope you enjoy the books.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you have the same kind of week. :)
DeleteI hope you have a restful reading week!
