It's Monday and I'm finally on Twitter!

It's been a busy week around here! I finally caved and signed up for Netgalley. And then while I was at it, I got a Twitter account too. You can follow me via the button on the top right of the page.

In other news, my little boy starts kindergarten tomorrow (or today if you are reading this on Monday). Sob sob. He had orientation on Wednesday. He met his teacher, toured his classroom, made a friend, and took a ride on the school bus. He will be fine. I will be the crazy woman crying at the bus stop as soon as the bus pulls out of view.

  1. Oh, have fun with NetGalley! I used to use it a ton, but now I'd say I get my e-galleys evenly between NetGalley and Edelweiss. Twitter is definitely fun, I'll be adding you!

  3. Good books, can't wait for reviews.
I know your mind will be on your little boy. It's hard to hand over your child to a person (teacher) who will having them for almost as many hours a day as you do. Best advice--keep involved, ask for a parent-teacher meeting,if they go on field trips, volunteer for one. That will give you insight into just what goes on. I have been on both sides of the fence, parent and assistant teacher, so communication is the golden rule :)
Following you on twitter. You will enjoy Netgalley.

  4. Hope David's has a wonderful first day at kindergarten and hope it is filled with lots of fun and he has a lot of stories to tell you. I remember the first day I went to kindergarten - I wanted to come back home with my mom when she was leaving and she really had a hard time making me stay back. Feeling nostalgic about it now :)

Looking forward to reading your thoughts on Chris Bohaljian's and Marisha Pessl's book. I am hearing mixed reviews of Pessl's book and so am really looking forward to reading your review.

    1. Thank you - I hope he is having a wonderful day too. Watching the bus pull away was tough, but I'm sure he is having a great time.

The Bohjalian was good and I'm excited to read Pessl's newest book. I really enjoyed her debut novel.

    2. I got on Twitter last year, Lindsey. But it was very addictive that I rarely use it these days. When I login next time, I will add you to my friends list.

    1. Thank you! Everyone survived. He's having a lot of fun and he's made friends to sit with on the bus in both directions. :)

  7. You will be okay! I was one of those crazy mothers too. Actually, when my youngest started kindergarten, we let her take the bus and then followed her bus to the school so we could walk her in and take the obligatory pictures. My oldest started high school this year. I think I'm going to be a bigger mess when he starts his senior year than when he started kindergarten!

  9. The Color Master looks good.

Looks like you had a good week. Happy Reading this week.

I am out of town and not getting too much reading done, but I am having fun. Went to a Hachette book event and received 9 books. The event was FABULOUS. I am still here visiting my son...heading home tomorrow.
