It's Monday...here comes the snow!

Hi friends! How are you doing? What are you reading?

I am sitting happily in my living room with a blanket, watching TV with the hubby. We have completed our mandatory "It's the end of the world pre-snow run" to stock up on milk, bread, and rock salt. Now we are just waiting to see what the skies are going to dump on our heads and how many days David gets to take off from school!

I'm not sure. I was going to pick up some holds from the library tomorrow, but with the giant snowstorm, I may be reading from my bookshelves for the next few days.

  1. I hope you enjoy Lost & Found. I really loved it. It reminded me of Emma Donoghue's Room (which I also loved).

  2. That sound like a good evening, and also like you are anticipating some bad weather! WE were supposed to get snow ( a bit) but we got sunshine, that was a surprise. Hope you don't get hit too hard.

  5. Sounds snuggly! I've been dying to read 'The Sun Also Rises' and have somehow never gotten around to it! I am planning to remedy that this year! I'm also reading 'Station Eleven' at the moment and really enjoying it! Thanks for sharing :) Have a great week!

  9. I don't enjoy Hemingway so I applaud those who can get into him and his tales. Hope you enjoyed them!
I like all 3 books you talked about last week on your blog and read one and am considering the other two. I haven't gotten to the library recently, but I did go to Barnes and Noble twice and bought paperbacks, and also ordered Amazon ebooks with my Christmas gift cards, so I am set for awhile with good titles.
    Stay safe in the snow!

  11. You'll have to let me know how you like Hemingway. I'm reading a YA mystery right now in which he's a central focus, but I've never read any of his actual work.

    1. I found it ok. I'm not really clamoring to read more of his work though. I'm trying to read more classics and am finding some that I'm sad I missed up to now and some that make me wonder why exactly they are considered classics...

  12. You've been in a Fitzgerald/Hemingway phase! I tend to think of those two together.
