Hello lovely reading people!
So I feel like I've been reading The Home That Was Our Country for a million years. It's only 350 pages, but I started it two weeks ago! That's not the only thing I'm reading this week though; I'm also reading E.L. Doctorow's City of God and listening to Cinnamon and Gunpowder.
I hope this week has more reading time than the last one. What are you reading?
Cinnamon and Gunpowder has my attention. It was another busy week but I did manage to finish some books. Come see what I'm reading.
ReplyDeleteMy copy of Hamilton has gone back to the library (again!) and I'm still only 14% of the way through it. Will I ever complete it?

It's funny isn't it how some books just seem to take forever to read even if they aren't that long.
ReplyDeleteIt's strange how some books just seem to read long despite the number of pages. I don't know what it is about a book that makes it do that. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHow do you juggle two books at a time? I can't really do that, though I do always have 1 audio and 1 regular book going.
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to read EL Doctorow - one of my favorite quotes is his: "You can only see as far as your headlights but you can make the whole trip that way." Let me know if this is a good one for me to start with!
Enjoy your books this week -
Sue
Book By Book
I've heard nothing about Cinnamon and Gunpowder. It looks like it might be fun. I'll look forward to your review.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of "Cinnamon and Gunpowder" but the cover sure caught my eye! I'm reading two books at the moment: the first Maisie Dobbs book and "Unmentionable," which is about life in Victorian times.
ReplyDeleteSome books feel like forever reads! Lol. Cinnamon and Gunpowder looks cool!
ReplyDeleteLove the cover of Cinnamon and Gunpowder. Goodreads says it's been on my TBR since Aug 2014; perhaps I should get around to it soon ^^; Looking forward to your thoughts on it.
