This has been a great week, friends. My husband graduated from seminary on Saturday and was ordained on Sunday. That means that he is a real pastor-like person now and he starts at his first church in June! Hooray!!
Also, I have a giveaway! No one has entered yet, so your chances are excellent! I am giving two books away. Click here to enter.

Congrats to your hubby! I LOVED The Secret History. Her other book was excellent as well. Here's mine.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Lauren. I have to admit that I didn't love The Secret History, but I'm glad that you did!

Congrats to your husband! That's a major life accomplishment, and you all look really proud :-)
ReplyDeleteI had mixed feelings about The Maze Runner, but I think a lot of it might have been because I listened to it on audiobook. Enjoy your reading this week!
Thanks Audrey! It was a really wonderful weekend.
DeleteI thought The Maze Runner was ok, but I didn't love it. Did you read the sequel?
Congrats to your husband! I liked the Maze Runner but could not get into the second book. Have a great week of reading.

DeleteI liked it, but I had a few issues with it. I'm not sure if I will read the sequel or not.
Congratulations to you and your husband. I just graduated too from library school. I don't have a job lined up yet but I'm optimistic.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite read last week was the audio of On the Beach by Nevil Shute. Please come see what else I'm reading.

DeleteCongratulations to your husband!
ReplyDeleteThe Secret History has been on my to-read list for a very long time! I will get to it one of these days. I just heard about Bloom last week and want to read that one as well - I love memoirs. And none of us at my house have read Maze Runner yet but it sounds like something we would like.
Enjoy your books this week -

DeleteBloom was great. I was less thrilled with Secret History and Maze Runner, but I know a lot of people who adore them.
Have a wonderful week!
Congratulations to your husband. New life coming up for you all. What church are you with? Just curious - my bro was a greek orthodox father.
ReplyDeleteby the way - the Maze Runner is supposed to be a very good read. The other books you listed look intersting just from the covers. :)
Thank you so much. We are American Baptists. How long has your brother been in the ministry?
DeleteI thought the Maze Runner was interesting, but it took a while to really get started.
