Hello, literary people! Sorry I'm posting this a bit late. I made a quick jaunt out of state this weekend, but I am back home in NJ (which greeted me with a torrential rain storm, by the way). I had a really good week for reading, though! This probably means that I should pay some more attention to cleaning my house or doing the laundry this week...
Read This Week:
By Lev Grossman
By Elizabeth Wein
By Ayelet Waldman
By Kevin Roose

That is a good reading week!
ReplyDeleteHow was The Unlikely Disciple? It's got such a good title...
It was good, but it felt somewhat predictable. I give a lot of credit to the author though, to go into an environment so different from his own and to keep an open mind.
DeleteI want to try to get back into the Thursday Next series. Great books this week!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's my first time reading anything from that series, but it sounds like so much fun.
DeleteI loved The Chosen. The movie adaptation is wonderful too.
ReplyDeleteI stole (borrowed?) it from my husband. He'll never notice...:)
DeleteSounds like a really nice week!
ReplyDeleteWe've had rain for ages so it no longer dampens my day :P
Love the books you read- Code Name Verity keeps popping up in blogs today I will have to check it out :)
Have a lovely week!
It doesn't usually bother me, but it was torrential and arrived just as I was getting home!
DeleteDo check out Code Name Verity - I really enjoyed it.
Code Name Verity looks so good! It looks lovely :)
ReplyDeleteWhat are YOU reading @ The Brunette Librarian??
It was really good. I think I read it in a little more than a day.
DeleteThanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteI tried to read the Jasper Fforde series but its a little too weird for me - I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Book'd Out earlier,
Shelleyrae @ Book'd Out
A lot of people seem to really love it. I'm only about 50 pages in and I am cautiously optimistic. I have to really adore a series in order to read all of the books.
DeleteThe Magicians has mixed reviews but I am curious enough to read it myself, especially because he finds out the fantasy world from his childhood is real! How cool would that be?? (Sorry, I have a bit of an obsession with wanting to get to Narnia someday!)xx
ReplyDeleteI know! I still check closets and cupboards just to make sure the back is solid and not an entrance to Narnia! (freakout over)
DeleteI love the Jasper Fforde books, look forward to hearing what you think about The Eyre Affair. Code Name Verity sounds very good.
ReplyDeleteLindsay @ The Little Reader Library
Excellent! Have you read all of the books in the series?
DeleteThe Eyre Affair is amazing! And somehow the books in the series only get better - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it took me so long to get to it!
