    1. Thanks Kathy. I am definitely an English/linguistics nerd, so Spell It Out is right up my alley. :) I hope you enjoy it!

  3. Book Riot made a really great sell with Lexicon! So many bloggers have read it ever since Rebecca compared to it "x-men with words!" I have it downloaded but haven't read it yet!
I also head wonderful things about Eleanor and Park. I'm not much for YA but this book may be genre-bending.
Haven't read Stewart O'Nan before but I've heard the name. Would totally dip into his books. Do you recommend starting with Wish You Were Here?

    1. Lexicon was great. I flew through it in one day. Eleanor and Park was good too.
This was only my second Stewart O'Nan book. You could start with either book. Songs for the Missing is a standalone. Wish You Were Here has a sequel of sorts - Emily, Alone. I would really recommend his books though!

    1. She's a great writer!
She has the Jackson Brodie series and the first book in that series is Case Histories. She also wrote Behind the Scenes at the Museum and her newest book is Life After Life.

Sometimes all it takes is a great book (or great ones in your case). :) I've been doing a lot of reading too as I am currently on vacation - more time for leisurely reading! :)

  14. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with that list haha. I, on the other hand, have dropped off the face of the earth for the past week and have been reading fanfiction instead of books. I've decided I have to blog about SOMETHING so I'll probably be putting up a post about fanfiction hahaha

  16. Oh, my gosh! Every single book you read seems like a winner! I'm off to skim through (I haven't read it yet, so ... [although it HAS been sitting on my TBR shelf for quite some time - maybe I need to fix that]) your review of Henrietta Lacks. Have a wonderful reading week!
