It's Monday and it's been a happy weekend!

Two of my favorite people celebrated their birthdays this Saturday. We had a brunch with our family. Becca Grace was a little overwhelmed by all of the presents and finally decided to carry around a gift bag for the day. We celebrated Mother's Day with a quiet evening at home. After a crazy week, it was nice to finish my book and then eat dinner while trying to clean up our DVR.

The birthday boy and girl are to the right. Big brother was ready to help blow out the candles though!

How was your week? Did you have a happy Mother's Day?

  1. A Circle of Quiet sounds good. After all the celebrations perhaps a quieter week this week? Happy reading for the week.

    1. It was a great read and it feels so timely even though it was written in the seventies!

    1. It was nice. We didn't go too crazy, since no one really remembers their first birthday anyway!

I really loved A Circle of Quiet. I feel like it's one of those books you can dip back into at different times in your life.

  4. Sounds like you had a fabulous weekend. The Classics Club sounds neat, I'll have to look into that. It wouldn't hurt me to read more of those, I've probably read embarrasingly few on the list! :)

    1. I felt that way too but when I started looking through some lists of classics, I felt a lot better! That English Lit degree was helpful for something after all! :)

  9. The Accident is a literary thriller right? I was almost going to pick it up at the airport, and then I was leery of paying full price - but it did seem like a good plane ride pick! I'll be looking to see what you think. ~Kelly

    1. Yes, so far it's about this literary agent who gets an incendiary manuscript and is trying to figure out what to do with it. I think it would be a great plane ride read!
