Hey everybody! How was your Christmas/Hanukkah/ New Years? Before we get into the bookish stuff, I have to tell you two very important things. Firstly, I am holding a giveaway, people! It's the very first one on Literary Lindsey and it closes tonight at midnight. Click right here immediately and enter while ye may! Secondly, I am reading through the works of F Scott Fitzgerald this year and I am looking for a few brave souls to join me. It will be fun, promise!
Since we last met, I have read:
The Grief of Others
By Leah Hager Cohen
The Sweetness at the
Bottom of the Pie
By Alan Bradley
By Margaret Atwood
The Hunger Games
By Suzanne Collins
Stiff: The Curious Lives
of Human Cadavers
By Mary Roach
The World We Found
By Thrity Umrigar
What's on the schedule for tomorrow, you ask? I'm hopping on the bandwagon and sharing my favorite reads of 2011. Don't forget to enter the giveaway and let me know what you are reading in the comments!
I have The World We Found on my blog schedule for this month! I can't wait to see what you think!ReplyDelete
I loved Hunger Games- what an amazing series!ReplyDelete
I am reading a Margaret Atwood book right now, I will have to read Surfacing too.
Have a great week!
Wasn't The Hunger Games awesome?! I also read The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie a few months ago but while I liked it, I don't think I like books with little kids who act as sleuths. I'm reading Anna Dressed in Blood now.ReplyDelete
Margaret Atwood is coming here to Houston this month, so I should be reading her. But her book has not yet come in for me at the library.ReplyDelete
I'm still working on the latest Murakami. I need to move along in it today. It's due back to the library...next week! Eek.
Here is my It's Monday! What Are You Reading?
Love The Hunger Games, just like everybody else :-) But I think Stiff just might be my favorite non-fiction book of all time, or at least in the top five.ReplyDelete
Have a great week and a happy new year!
My It's Monday
Wow you have some amazing looking reads here - the Atwood one looks great! Happy New Year!!!ReplyDelete
I love Thrity Umrigar's work - haven't yet read THE WORLD WE FOUND, though. I'll look for your review.ReplyDelete
Happy New (reading) Year!
I loved The World We Found and hope you do too. You seem to have a nose for good books anyway!ReplyDelete
This is a really interesting list. I keep hearing great things about The Grief of Others and Margaret Atwood is one of my favorite writers. I enjoyed visiting your blog. Happy New Year!ReplyDelete
Can't wait to see what you think about The Hunger Games, especially if you read Mockingjay...still trying to decide if I want to move on to that one.ReplyDelete
