July Wrap-Up

So it's August now, huh?

I must confess to some cognitive dissonance when I start getting supply lists from D's school and seeing back to school commercials everywhere I look. But I know we still have a whole month and change before I have to start making the trek to the bus stop again. We are now on a mission to enjoy every last bit of these last summer weeks.

  1. Phew! I think we're going to have to really enjoy August. July just went too fast. Your little girl is getting so big! It looks like I have some more books to add to my TBR list.

    1. I find that with little kids at home, the days of summer are very long but the actual summer is flying by!

She is getting very big and has quite a lot of opinions about things. Two is such a fun age!

  2. I can't believe it's August! I want at least another full month of summer; I haven't done everything I was planning on doing yet. :) But isn't that how it always goes?

    1. We still have a few weeks, but I know that fall kicks in a little earlier in some other places! What are you still hoping to do this summer?

  3. July did speed right by! I have to say that it's been a treat to see all the back-to-school supplies... even more so because I may be joining back up in the student ranks next fall! :)

My favorite July read was a tie between Summer Sisters by Judy Blume and The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins.

    Happy August!

    1. That is so exciting! I confess to even having a blast helping my son pick out his school supplies. There is just something fun about remembering your own school days. :)

  4. I read so little in July, it was just sad, but I seemingly needed a brain break. Cheers to a great August!

    1. The mojo will come back. Sometimes you just need a little rest for the noggin and the eyes.
